JC Bowman serves as the Executive Director and CEO of Professional Educators of Tennessee. With nearly 40 years of experience in education, he started his career in Tennessee public schools, teaching high school social sciences and special education. Since 2011, he has led Professional Educators, bringing a wealth of expertise in developing legislative priorities, assessing education policies, and engaging with policymakers and lawmakers on political initiatives. Previously, he held the position of Chief Policy Analyst for the Education Policy Unit under Florida Governor Jeb Bush, where he contributed to a significant revision of the state’s school code. A sought-after speaker, Dr. Bowman has made appearances on various radio and television shows and has been featured at numerous events at local, state, and national levels. He has also authored many academic studies and articles for different organizations and publications. In addition to his professional achievements, J.C. Bowman is a proud Marine Corps veteran, having received two meritorious promotions during his service. He and his wife, Bethany, are the proud parents of two adult daughters and six grandchildren, currently residing in Nashville, Tennessee.
